April Fools

So yesterday was the 1st of April, April Fools Day and I woke up (late, as usual) and was getting ready for school with Daybreak on TV and on came a news story about apes in Kent that had been given iPads as some sort of test. 

When I went out to have my breakfast I told my mum about the news story and said how weird it was. It was only later at school when we were talking about it that I realised that it was an April Fools joke! I felt like a bit of an idiot for believing it, but to be fair, when you see a news story on TV you don't usually expect them to lie to you about things. They are supposed to be a 'reliable' source. But it did amuse me that I actually did believe them - I suppose I'll blame it on being blonde. 

I told my friend Amy earlier today about believing the story and she believed me when I told her, even though I had said about it being an April Fools - silly Amy! Yes that's right - you're more of a fool than I am! Not that anyone thought that was possible.

I didn't manage to think anything up to do on April Fools day, but to be honest I probably would have laughed or smiled or something to make people know that it is an April Fool because I can't keep a straight face. It a weakness that I have - I just can't do it! 

I was asked to pretend to be madly in love with this boy at school for April Fools but... no. I really couldn't be bothered and plus he'd guess anyway! I was to tired... it was Friday after all! 

I have only ever really done one April Fools and it did actually work. I think I was in year 5 or 6 and I had made a fake cast that I had seen being done on art attack or something like that and I wrote all the messages on and got other people to as well so it wasn't all in my scrawly hand writing and I wore it to school to trick my teacher. And she did genuinely believe it - until I took it off to show her it was a fake. I'm pretty proud of that tbh :) 

I just searched about April Fools in Google and it came up with Google Motion. I probably would have believed it if I had seen it yesterday but it is so funny! The man doing all the gestures is just so funny. Go check it out.

P.S. I am going to try and complete BEDA (blog everyday in April) so hopefully I will succeed . It will be the inspiration that could be difficult though!! But I will do my best!
