I've Got Some Headphoneesss!!

This afternoon, after I had demolished the scrambled egg on toast, that I had made myself for lunch, I sat at my computer watching the other part of Mrs Brown's Boys that I hadn't finished watching yesterday. (Which, by the way, was hilarious. Again, I totally recommend that you go and watch it.)

While watching the next episode of Mrs Brown's Boys I very vaguely heard the door bell, as I had a pair of headphones on as my sister was watching Home and Away in my room. I heard Zoe get up so asked if it was the door. She said it was only the headphones. I have been waiting for the headphones that I asked my mum to order so I got up to see if they came.

There was a big white jiffy bag, addressed to my mum, which Zoe and I assumed were my head phones. And because Zoe is... Zoe, she went and hid the package in my room while I was in the kitchen. However, she failed at doing that, as I walking in on her hiding it in the corner... so I knew where to look.

Me being me I completely failed at opening the jiffy bag so it was looking very worse for wear afterwards. I honestly did try to open it from the top, I just don't know what happened from that point on...

I opened the headphones and all that jazz with the CDs and installing, all of that blaaah stuff - technical word! It really wasn't difficult though so all was good for my simple mind! :) I logged into skype to check the microphone - as the other day my very old and crappy headset was RUBBISH when I was trying to talk. One minute there was sounds, the next... there wasn't.

I was pleased to find out that the microphone sounded perfect! So I then opened a program called Audacity, so I could just have a play with the sounds. Zoe and I were just messing around with it really so the stuff we saved it just a little bit random.

I was enjoying myself playing with the speed feature of the program, making Zoe sounds like a chipmonk. I did plan to put them on my blog, just for fun. But... I don't know how and IF I actually can. I might ask my brother tomorrow, maybe they can be on here tomorrow!

Anyway, I'm really pleased with my new headset... it is fantastic! If anyone needs a headset and wants something that is fairly cheap but good quality then here is a link - Microsoft LifeChat LZ-3000

Those Little Internet Addictions!

I am currently watching this week's episode of The Gadget Show on youtube as I missed it on Monday as I was out swimming. This week Suzi and Jason were challenged to make their own computer game. They showed some office people playing some internet games and I went and checked a few out... and they are very addictive!

My favourite is Ragdoll Cannon 3- http://www.kongregate.com/games/Johnny_K/ragdoll-cannon-3?acomplete=ragdoll just because the graphics are quite cute and sketchy and the game is generally just a little bit addictive, like all good internet games. I advise you not to click the link if you are doing anything important as you may get sucked right into the game!

After I finish writing this I am going to go on the Gadget Show Website to check out the games that Suzi and Jason made as I am curious as to how good they are.

This made me think about a blog I read a few weeks ago, which was written by Jessica Fox (http://blameitonthegroupon.blogspot.com/), who plays Nancy in Hollyoaks. Her blogs are mainly about her fitness regime she has started and all the funny stuff that happens at her Zumba classes and whatever but there was one part of a recent blog she wrote where she mentioned Burger Shop 2. She's right... it is so addictive! I sat there playing it for ages and every downloaded the hour free trial just so I could see what the real game is like (I'm not going to pay to buy something) and it has now been put in my 'stuff' folder on my bookmark bar on my firefox so I can play it if I am really bored!

I know Sims isn't on the internet but it is still addictive because there is so much stuff you can do on it so I am constantly finding different ways to do stuff (e.g. I never knew you could electrocute Sims until last week). I'm usually not one for killing Sims because I get strangely attached to them and all the things I have made them achieve so I usually set it on the longest lifespan and just trigger age transition as and when I want and try to keep them alive for as long as possible and just keep moving out Sims when I want to extend my family. The Sim town does end up being littered with my Sim family though. However, I have set my life span back to the normal 90 days and it is quite good just naturally letting them age and also it stops me getting bored of having the same Sims around all the time. I think I prefer and shall do it like that from now on!

On the subject of Sims, there was a facebook group about a 'Super Secret Surprise' in the Sims 3 that was dated to be yesterday and I checked it yesterday to see what it was and it's Sims 3 Generations which sounds really good! For those of you non-simmers or those of you haven't seen it yet, who have no idea what I am talking about - it looks awesome, check the trailer out on youtube!
