HAPPY PANCAKE DAY!
What a great day, a day dedicated to the deliciousness that is the the pancake, yum!! I most certainly am appreciative of this day.
I just made lots of pancakes for my family and they did go down very well and we filled them with lots of lovely stuff like lemon and sugar (best flavour), golden syrup, jam and cream and jam and custard. Unfortunately I have no pictures of the pancakes, but I promise you they were... beautiful. I even flipped some - I'm quite proud of myself for that.
I made them the PROPER way! None of this 'shake the bottle' pancake mix rubbish that people use, I made them to proper way, just as easy as the bottle way thanks to Delia Smith.
I am a fan of the thin pancakes that are easy to roll up and everything because personally the thick pancakes make me feel a bit ill!
Lent starts tomorrow, so good luck to all those people giving up nice things for that. I personally don't give up anything, I never had. I only really started to know about it when I met my friend Imy because she always gives up something. This year it is Facebook and anything that isn't meat, fruit, vegetables and eggs. So good luck with that Imogen, even though there are very few people that have faith in you in doing it.
And Katie, well dieting starting tomorrow... somehow I think not. :P I know it, she knows it, everyone knows it - it won't last 40 days... maybe not even 4...
