Britain's Got Talent and The End of BEDA

Of  course this evening I was watching Britain's Got Talent again and at one point I thought Amanda had turned into Simon Cowell! She stopped a man singing/playing guitar just as he had started his audition and asked if he had another song that people might know. Bit mean... but he got through anyway! But really I don't think it matters too much whether we know the song well or not, because it is a judge of talent, not a judge of the song choice. Although, I suppose the song choice does help!

A list of some of my favourites... and some weird ones too (click the names for YouTube links):
  • Olivia Binfield - I would have been pooping my pants if I was her on stage with a MASSIVE snake round my neck! It was practically stangling her. Towards the end Ant and Dec were getting a bit panicky!
  • Ronan Parke- So cute, and so good! Such a great voice and he was so cute getting all emotional when they were actually judging him.
  • Anthony Wait - He was ABSOLUTELY pants!! Literally! I didn't get it at all, and I'm just glad that the audition got stopped at the point it did... I could have been scarred for life!
  • Tracey Moran - Definatley not the best audition but it was sooo funny! I could not stop laughing at her ridiculous dancing! So in that respect - it was a god audition!
  • Out of the Blue - This group was quite interesting actually, at first I wasn't sure but I did end up liking it because I'd never really heard anything exactly like that before!
The End of BEDA
After I post this, I will have officially completed BEDA! Yaaay! At first I really wasn't sure exactly how long I would last as I couldn't imagine finding the inspiration for a blog everyday... but I managed it!

I got pretty stuck by about the 20th and on most evenings since then I asked whoever I was talking to on Facebook (mostly Dan, Tim and maybe Maddy... I can't remember) what I should blog about! They obviously said things like 'how much you love me' etc... the usual, which I didn't write about - I appologise! I did manage to think of a subject to write about in the end though, and I didn't have to resort to writing about how much I love my friends! Because it is already obvious that I do love them, otherwise I wouldn't call them my friends.

I have written about some of them in previous blogs anyway, but the blogs would have been more intesting that writing about how much I love them :)

Anyway - BEDA = complete! And I really enjoyed it too, so thanks to who ever wrote/vlogged about it which made me do it too!

Devouring Ducks, Olly Murs and The Royal Wedding

Devouring Ducks
I finally decided, after 6 days, that I would eat my lovely choccy duck! I genuinely felt guilty about wanting to eat it, but then I thought... oh well, it smells delicious! At first I didn't realise that James was filming until I realised that he was keeping the phone in the same position and so now I have quite an amusing video of the devouring of the duck! Enjoy...

 Olly Murs
Zoe just got home from seeing Olly Murs at the Winter Gardens in Margate and she is like a little excitable puppy! It is absolutely adorable!!!

She got home and said "I MET OLLY MURS" - I already knew from her facebook status! After showing us the autograph she got, she told us all about it, how he kissed her on the cheek, had a photo with him, and he touched her on the back! Bless her! She told us that people saw them going to meet him and looked pretty jealous haha!

Mum has just gone to bed and she kissed Zoe on the cheek, but Zoe was being careful that Mum didn't kiss her on the same cheek as Olly did! Haha.

The Royal Wedding
In the run up to the Royal Wedding I wasn't sure whether I would actually watch it as I didn't see much point. I did in the end because I thought it would actually be quite good! I started off watching BBC coverage and it was pretty boring before anyone really started moving!

When they showed the guests arriving I was wondering "how the hell did Mr Bean get an invitation?" He is one of the last people I would expect to be at the wedding - how strange, but never mind!

Beforehand, I couldn't remember the name of the designer that recently died, but I had a feeling that that's who the dress was by (well not from beyond the grave, but you know what I mean), and I was right! Wahey! I obviously know now that is is Alexander McQueen and it looked absolutely stunning on her!! Wow. However, although she did look lovely behind the veil, I thought she looked prettier once the veil was taken off of her face.

Personally, I thought the wedding was soooo cute... although it was strange that barely any guests could actually see! Strange...

They looked so natural, and I could see them at times trying to suppress a few giggles. Kate looked like she was going to have a little giggle when she was saying ALL of his names, she was probably thinking about how getting them wrong!

There didn't look like anything much went wrong, apart from the ring NEARLY not fitting! That would have been bad, but luckily he did manage to get it on!

I did get bored of the seriousness of the BBC coverage and decided that ITV was more fun, Phillip Schofield was much funnier!

Overall, I think it was a really cute wedding... but some of the hats people wore (particularly Princess Beatrice) were a little... odd!

I lost track of time...

It is currently 23:45 and I literally just remembered that I need to blog!! I can't believe I nearly forgot! If I had, and then failed BEDA, I may have cried!

I think I shall blame this on Keely, she won't know I have blamed it on her as she is currently out camping for D of E and I don't think she has any clue that I have a blog anyway. I may tell her... you never know! Or perhaps someone else will have already told her by then!

I blame it on Keely because in Biology we were talking about niches and she was going on about how some animal eats this, and like that blah blah... and that she knew that from playing Zoo Tycoon!

Obviously, that made me want to play Zoo Tycoon, and I couldn't believe Keely had sold her copy (it's such a good game). I still have mine and so I installed it and started playing! I got so engrossed in my game, dealing with dinosaurs, unicorns and an olive baboon I put in the lion cage to see what happened - he died, I didn't know that would happen... never mind! I was so focused on playing my game and watching Celebrity Juice, that I was completely oblivious to the time and hadn't even looked at the post it under my computer screen, which says 'BEDA', that I wrote on the 1st of April to remind me every day!

So yeah... blame Keely for the rushedness of the blog but I also thank her for reminding me of the game because it's so good! Well, I love it anyway!

Quack!

For Easter, Joely got me a white chocolate duck, and a little chocolate egg which has a marshmallow chick inside! They are/were the cutest things ever! I say are/were because I have eaten the egg... but not the duck!

At first, I didn't want to crack the egg, but curiosity got the better of me and I cracked the top of the egg off... the chick was upside down so I had to eat a little more of the egg so I could see it properly. Here is what it looked like...

How cute is that? The chick had a smudged eye and a dirty nose, but who cares... it's cute! I can't remember when Zoe ate her chick but it was before me... and she said it was delicious! This chick did look so yummy so I bit it's bum (sorry chick) and she was right - it tasted so good - so I slowly ate the rest of the chick, making it last as long as possible... didn't last long really!

Just now, Zoe asked if I wanted to see her finger puppet, I said yes, and she takes her hand out from behind her back and I see a little chocolate duck's head wobbling about!!! MURDER... well not really, but still! Apparently, the duck is also delicious!

I just took mine out of the packet and smelt it... mmm!! Smells yummy! Now it is sitting on my desk looking at me as I am writing this, knowing that I am thinking about breaking into it - just a little bit - but it is just too damn cute to break! All of that hard work that... the machine... put in to making it, and I have already eaten it's child.

Joely says that it's okay because it doesn't have feelings! But it's too cute... I can't kill it! Ok, not yet! Soon it will be gone, I'm not going to let it go bad am I? I don't want an ugly, out of date, ducking on my desk now, do I?

I warn the duck to sleep with one eye open... or he may have a pain in his arse when he wakes up ;)

First Day Back

Yesterday I blogged about going back to school today. Today I realised that despite not really knowing how much I slept last night, as I struggled to get to sleep and didn't feel like I had been asleep when I woke up, my day reaaally wasn't THAT bad!

It was actually quite relaxed! I got up on time so I didn't need to rush (for once), I had a free this morning with Dan where we actually did some of our English essays, and tech was relaxed as usual... although we had to watch a DVD and all of the people's voices were incredibly irritating and I wasn't comfortable on my stool. But then I suppose, what do I expect when I am on a stool!

Psychology was a drag though, it seemed to be never ending and I was hungry!!! But I suppose one lesson out of the 2 had to be a drag! After school was pretty good too! My grandparents were in town so I met them for a nice hot chocolate (yum) and then the gave me a lift home too! Lovely... no bus for me :)

We had to do a few diversions, due to traffic and a car accident, but it was better than sitting in queues of traffic!

I got home to find that there was a new addition to the family - a dog. Not a real dog, that we want, but an ornamental dog, who now sits on our stairs. It actually looks like it has always belonged there! I also noticed that Zoe was sitting at the table reading a book about dogs, typical! She is not planning our future dog having puppies and my mum said 'we don't even have the dog yet and you are planning it's sex life' - obviously that made me laugh!

I then worked hard on my English essay until it was done, with very few distractions... makes a change! Pretty proud of myself, and now I have no need to worry about getting my essay done! Which is lucky... as it is in for tomorrow!

P.s. A congratulations for Imy, who actually managed to give up facebook for lent! I wasn't really sure whether she would be able to do it but she did... so well done!

Monday 25 April 2011

It's that feeling again!

Yes, back to school again tomorrow, after such a lovely holiday! Luckily it is only 3 days this week, otherwise I'm not sure if I would be able to survive!

I think I should just repost this blog I wrote at the end of last half term, as the basic idea of the feeling is there again but it won't be so bad as it shouldn't be dark when I wake up at HALF 6 tomorrow... or attempt to should I say!! But at least we are starting back on a Tuesday, otherwise I would have French for 100 minutes after school... then I may have killed myself! Well, not quite literally.

Can't I have another 2 weeks holiday? Pretty please with a cherry on top... and chocolate sprinkles, and ice cream, and... you know the rest!!

...

No? I can't see what would be wrong with that, it's more fun being off of school! Although I don't get to see my friends as much... but I could see them outside of school if I had more time off!

Still no? Damn it!!

Happy Easter

This morning I did set my alarm for 10, as usual in the holidays, but I fell back to sleep again and wasn't woken until 12:10 by Zoe and Beth! Ooops...

After I had scrambled egg on toast and a yoghurt for 'brunch', Graham got all 3 of us to sit in my room while he hid all of the clues for the Easter egg hunt! And then we began...

He was right that it would be harder this year, and we did need some help with a few of the clues! He did anagrams, word searches, riddles and even put a clue on twitter, which was really funny! At the end of the hunt we found the eggs in the tumble dryer!

Mum and Graham went out for a walk so Zoe, Beth and I decided to make more Easter eggs hunts. They went of and started making one for me and I made one for them! I made them 14 clues and by that time they had done 3... and watched a film!

I did them a variety of clues too, including a puzzle, anagrams, mirror image, rhymes and wrote the blog post which is below (if you're wondering... it was inside a stuffed dog that has a zippy pocket) and I had them going that it was nearly the end as I wrote last one and various other stuff about it being the final clue. Fooled them :) I hid Zoe's egg in the oven and Beth's creme eggs in the cupboard next to the oven!

A little while later it was time for my Easter egg hunt, which consisted of 4 clues - haha! The first one was a quote from Celebrity Juice which said 'If I don't see you for a week, I'll see you through the ______' (answer is window).

On the bathroom mirror the clue said something like: it's hot and produces steam' - it was the kettle.

Underneath the kettle there was a clue, which said 'Where do you check for news and look at 'walls'?' - The answer was facebook so I went online to check for my clue and I found this:

Do the following! Write this out; Then follow from door:
3F + turn LEFT + 14F + 90*L + 9F + 90*R + 2 F + 90* R + 5F + 90*R + 2F + 90* L + 5F + 90*R + 14F + 90*R + 11F + 90*L + 5F + 90* L + 10F + 90*R + 1F + 90* L + 2F + 180* + 2F + 90*R + 1F + 90*L + 9F + 90*L + 8F + 90*R + Look around!

It was pay back for me messing them around with telling them it was the last one! I did one of these clues for them, but not this long, and I wasn't as mean! This route took me out of my bedroom door, upstairs, downstairs, outside, then back inside! Despite the fact that they had got L and R mixed up twice I did find the egg in the kitchen under the table in the end!

It was good fun, although like the child I am I would love to just search for chocolate eggs all day! But I don't think anyone will want to make any more clues haha!! They are all clued out, clueless!

Happy Easter everyone!!

An Easter Clue

Codeye have another clue? I hear you ask...

3.) This clue is in a dog! Don't worry, not a real dog because that's probably illegal and also disgusting!

Another GREAT Day!

Today turned out to be another great day! It started off with a nice pain au chocolate and a drink in a cafe with a friend, Moritz, who had come over from Germany for a little holiday! It was lovely, the breakfast was lovely, we had a really nice chat and then after we went to the beach and sat and played games involving throwing stones at rock towers! It sounds a bit stupid, but the simple things are sometimes the best!

After I saw Moritz I went home and it was just really nice sitting at the patio table in the sun! I even did some of my biology poster too! At least I could be outside and still do it. It was such a lovely day I wasn't going to waste it inside!

After a while Zoe and he friend, Beth, came home and we sat in the garden just chatting about random things, such as Beth having a cod eye! ;)

And then this evening there was of course Britain's Got Talent, which I watched along with a nice bowl of popcorn and hot chocolate BUT Zoe and Beth came in my room to get the airbed and Zoe was chucking cushions at the back of my head, so I ignored her! Then... she goes and throws a quilt at me which goes over my head and into my bowl of popcorn, which STILL had stuff in! This obviously caused my popcorn to fly in various direction over the room... :( she said 'I knew that's what would happen, that's why I did it!' - Oe!! You meany... what a bitch ;) only joking... love you really! It is quite funny thinking about it now!

Anyway, this is a list of a few of my favourites from Britain's Got Talent (click the names for links to YouTube):
  • Ted and Grace - So cute, the girl was a good singer too but the Grandad just made me laugh, he was adorable!
  • Les Gibson, who impersonated Ant and Dec - So funny because his Dec impression was soooo gay! Doesn't beat Paul Burling from last year though though!
  • Pip and her little dog! - This one, aww!! The woman was such a good singer. At first I thought the dog would dance but then it started singing along too, which was soooooo cute! Loved it!
  • Edward Reid - I just thought that it was so original and I loved it! At first I didn't realise he was singing nursery rhymes. It did take me a minute to realise. Very clever!
  • The matrix bodypoping dude - if you watched it then you know the one I'm on about! The Romanian guy! He was so original and he was basically crying at the end so I could see how much it meant to him! Bless!

Friday 22 April 2011

Good Friday... yes it was!

I had a very unexpected lovely day today, as I wasn't really expecting to do very much! I woke up this morning and went into the kitchen to have my breakfast, and I saw that Graham was making some sandwiches... nothing really clicked at this point as I had just woken up!

Then I saw him packing it into a cool bag and putting an ice pack in... I was then a little confused where he/we were going! I went into my sister's room and curled up in her bed (I was a bit cold) and asked her if we were going out... apparently we were going to a place with a castle and field! Thanks Zoe, very specific!

I went and got dressed and Zoe moaned that they always end up waiting for me... when it fact it is because they don't tell me that we are going out until we are literally just going out! Anyway, there was no need for me to get dressed at that point as my mum had fallen back to sleep so we didn't go fro at least another hour!

Once she was up and ready we all got into the car and we ended up in a place called White Horse Wood Country Park, which is somewhere near/inn Detling. We then went and sat at a bend, while we ate our lunch... of course I was the last person sitting there eating - as always!

And here is a nice picture of my mum that Zoe took, with me looking special as ever!

After this we dumped our stuff in the car and went for a very short walk to the ruins of Thurnham Castle, where there was a big stone wall, some sheep, a big hill and some silly middle aged men with toy helicopters (complete with a helipad) who were constantly crashing into a bush when they could have used the massive field near the car park where they came from! Silly people!

We went up the big hill to see if there were more ruins... there weren't but the views were quite nice!
We were expecting there to be more ruins but... I suppose they are called ruins so there isn't going to be much of them! We then went round the other path way to find the iron age settlement, or something like that... there wasn't really anything much to be honest! But it didn't matter because it was a nice walk and it was sunny!

After that we went to a pub in Chilham to have something to drink, which was lovely and then we went back home to the beach and sat there eating an ice cream! Lovely! And I got to dip my toes in the sea for the first time this year - such a good feeling!

Mum and Graham have now gone out to see their friends and Zoe has gone to her friend's house. James and Joely were going to go out to see my Nan and Grandad to give them something so I decided to go with them rather than being left all alone at home! It was really nice going there and it ended the day quite nicely!

So yes, it was a very good Friday! Thanks Jesus!

Easter

Before I start this, I would just like to say that I am fully aware that I am 17 years old but in NO way does that mean that I am any less childish than I was as a 6 year old. Now I shall begin...

Personally, I am really looking forward to Sunday because it is EASTER SUNDAY! I'm not excited for the 'proper' reason that Jesus was resurrected on that day. I'm aware but I find that Easter egg hunts are FAR more exciting and so yummy too!

Every Easter my mum and step dad make my sister and I an Easter egg hunt (my brother isn't too bothered, as long as he gets a chocolate egg), complete with clues with codes, rhymes, mirror stuff and whatever else they can think of! This year Graham is planning to make it extra difficult, as he thinks that they are too easy! So if he does manage to make it really difficult then this hunt could be extra good! He did joke that he would go for a 10 mile drive with the eggs, so we'd have to hurry before someone else gets there first!

This is a little bit strange but... I think I'm going backwards! Now walking, I can do that fine forwards... I mean in life! I think I am getting more and more childish... as I grow up! Surely it should be the other way around.

What I mean is, I don't remember ever owning a Where's Wally book when I was younger... but now I do, and I love it! Also, I don't think that as a young child I ever had an Easter egg hunt, now in the last 3 or 4 years we have asked for them...

I don't think it is a bad thing though, I absolutely love being a kid, it's more interesting and exciting than actually having to grow up! I don't plan to for a long while! My Dad is 40 something and still hasn't grown up in the slightest!!

Dog's Dinner

While I wrote my blog yesterday about the ticklish penguin, I was reminded of another YouTube video that is ABSOLUTELY genius!

Here is the clip:

All credit goes to whoever filmed the clip! I have no idea who it was but this clip is just perfect!

I was emailed this one ages ago by Tim and I absolutely love it... it is just so simple, but it is funny! It is my mum's favourite. I remember when I forwarded her the email I was sat in my room and I could hear my mum at the top of the stairs sat at her computer in fits of laughter! And then a few days later I was in the kitchen and I heard her laughing again, I went upstairs and there she was, watching the YouTube clip! I managed to film her reaction about half way through the clip at one point so here it is, it is so typical of my mum (the hands expecially):

Tickly Penguin

You may have guessed by now that I am a fan of all things cute and cuddly, as I have posted a fair few cute YouTube video links to my blogs.

Well, here is another one for you! Click here to see the ticklish penguin! It is ABSOLUTELY adorable and I want to keep the penguin... forever! Although, I think that would really upset the owners if I took it... but it is so darn cute! The slip just made me smile and have a little bit of a giggle too, so I thought I would just share the cuteness around, as I usually do, just to make you smile!

I hope you liked it as much as I did! I thank whoever that was who got that on a recording because it is just sooooo cute!

The London Marathon

Yesterday was the big day that hundreds of people have been building up to for months and months, so I thought that I would watch it on TV... mostly so I could compare it to actually being there last year.

On Saturday, I asked my step dad what time it started and he said '8 something'... I chocked! Ok, well not literally but I said 'IN THE MORNING?' in a very surprised sounding voice, which was laughed at by the others who were at the table.
I decided that I would get up at 9:30am so that I could watch the most part of it, so I set my alarm. I woke up at 11:30am, not remembering my alarm going off at all, and promptly got my breakfast and then sat at my desk, watching the marathon as I ate.

I was up in time to see the winners of the elite races, so that was pretty good! There was one point where the people in 2nd and 3rd place were on the straight to the finish, battling to get 2nd place. I could see the 3rd place runner creeping up on the 2nd place runner, carefully watching him to decide when to make his move. He timed it perfectly and the 2nd place runner unfortunately didn't react quick enough and did finish 3rd. While watching that point, I could imagine EXACTLY what my mum would be doing. She was in the living room and I was imagining her cheering on the people and shouting at the TV, like she does with most sporting events (mostly running). I asked my sister later on... I was right!

I remember last year, I was just round the corner from the 385 yard bridge and all of the elites were still running strong at that point... wow! It's just incredible that they can actually run that far and still be running well! I know I'd be struggling at that point... but I'm not an elite so I guess it's different!

I don't know whether the wheelchair racers were before I woke up but I don't remember seeing any what so ever! I remember them last year whizzing past us, so it was sometimes hard to get a picture! I think this picture shows their speed quite well...

My favourite part of the marathon is seeing the wacky costumes that the general public come dressed in! Last year there were so many supermen, banana men, batmen, any super heroes really! There are a few costumes that particularly stick in my mind from last year, like the couple who had just got married, the fairy which I have an awesome picture of (see below) and Richard Branson's butterfly costume.

I found some pictures of them:
Just married
Awesome fairy - my favourite

Richard Branson Butterfly
There aren't many costumes that I particularly remember from this year, as the coverage on TV didn't really show that many of them really. so nothing particularly stands out other than a man with a washing machine on his back (ouch), a group that had a tea party, a man dressed as a woman and a man carrying a tiger.

We didn't see many celebrities because we only waiting until we saw my mum's boss' son, Simon (the one in blue), who was running in memory of his mum and then we left after that as we had been there a good 3 or 4 hours I think!
Watching it on TV is so different from actually being there and experiencing the atmosphere of the real thing! It was more of a memorable experience actually watching it and I enjoyed cheering on everyone and giving them a bit of support in there last few hundred yards of the course! It was great to see people helping out each other too. Those who fell down, hit the wall, or just generally struggled were picked up and helped to the end by fellow runners, which was really good to see!

What don't I miss about being there? Well, I DEFINITELY don't miss the irritating man who was behind me for ages, almost leaning on me, pushing me against the barrier! Get there earlier, don't invade my personal space! And various other invasions of my personal space through out the day, but I guess that's always going to happen around crowds!

I go on about the atmosphere of the experience, but I suppose nothing compares to actually running the marathon, how incredible would that be! My mum wants to do it one year as she is a very keen runner... just not THAT keen yet! I've thought about maybe doing it in the future as I think it would be an amazing thing to do but I just can't imagine myself running for that distance... I might actually die! Maybe in 2 or 3 years I'll enter or something!

Dogs Trust and Ear Piercing

When I say Dogs Trust and ear piercing, I don't mean that we went to the Dogs Trust and pierced the dog's ears because that would just be weird... and I'm not sure about the legality behind that either. But that's not a problem, because we didn't do that! Now to what this blog REALLY is about...

You my remember about me writing about my family maybe getting a dog, specifically wanting a golden retriever. Well yesterday, my mum, step dad, sister and I went to Canterbury Dogs Trust Centre as we had seen that there was a golden retriever there called Dermot. So we thought we'd look.

When we got there we asked if we could see Dermot, but we were told that he was reserved... bit of a bummer. But they said that we could fill out a form to show more about our family, so that they would be able to determine whether any dogs would fit into our family. While Mum and Graham filled out the forms, my sister and I went around the reception room, where they have a selection of dogs in kennels that we can see, looking at all of the dogs.

We went over and looked at Dermot and he was absolutely adorable! He was so big and fluffy, but the thing was... he looked a little depressed. I know, what does a depressed dog look like?
What I mean is... all of the other dogs were walking about, and everything but he just stayed there, laying in the same spot. Doing nothing. It made me feel really sorry for him as I don't think he liked being there, who would really.

Graham enquired about us perhaps being a second reserve for Dermot, as we loved the look of him and felt really sorry for him. The woman on reception gave us a bit of a blank look and said that she didn't knwo Dermot well so she wouldn't know if he would fit in our family well. There was a more helpful guy there who took over from that point, so he went through our form and said that we may not be the perfect family for Dermot as he needed something quiet as he is very sensitive around a lot of people, and there are 5 of us.

We spoke with him a bit longer and then he had to do something else so after looking at the dogs a little longer, we left. The guy that spoke to us before came running out after us, apologising if he was rude (which he wasn't) and said that there was a dog that he though would be good for us, so he took us round to the other dogs to see a Doberman cross called Millie. There were so many dogs there and they barked SO MUCH, I didn't like it! Although Millie was cute, she was way to noisy as she didn't deal with kennels well apparently. Even though Millie was lovely, we decided we'd keep looking. My mum is 'allergic to noise' anyway so that wouldn't have been good.

After this we went into town as my sister wanted her ears pierced. The shop told us that they could do it straight away so they took us down this teeny tiny stairs to the piercing room. Mum signed the form and Zoe sat on the chair, and told me I had to go the other side of the curtain because I would put her off. Me? Never...

I did do what I was told, and Graham came out too so we decided we'd go and wait in Waterstones. I saw a friend of mine, Arthur, so spoke with him briefly and shortly after Mum and Zoe returned. I was surprised they were quite quick! Zoe and I then went and looked at the Where's Wally books because I love them and I didn't want to look like a complete 'special' person looking at them myself! There was one with a board game in :O awesome!

But best of all, there was one called 'Where's Wally?: The Totally Essential Travel Collection', it was all of the Where's Wally books... all in one! It was in an A5 type book and it has LOADS in! It looked awesome! But I didn't buy it, I'm not that childish! Ok, I am that childish, the child within me was telling me I wanted it. I resisted the temptation!

Britain's Got Talent

This evening was the return of Britain's Got Talent. However, this year instead of Simon Cowell and Piers Morgan, we have David Hassellhoff and Michael McIntyre, which proved to be quite a nice change, as both of them are hilarious. And Amanda, of course was lovely as always, doing her classic over-the-head seal clapping, which I always find amusing.

I read Closer magazine the other day that Michael was a little reluctant to use his buzzer, as he felt bad and Amanda has had to tell him to 'grow a pair', or something along those lines. When watching the show tonight I did find it amusing watching Michael's face as I could tell he was absolutely dying to press his buzzer, and he even kept retracting his hands. At one point there was a man who had painted himself gold, I can't remember what he was doing but Michael was first to buzz! The gold man stood up and stormed off stage and didn't even talk to Ant and Dec. David and Amanda obviously joked with Michael about it.

This show never fails to amuse me, there was some real talent this evening, and some things were just... weird, or just rubbish. But what would Britain's Got Talent be without all of the deluded nutters that appear on there. It would be... rubbish! The auditions are usually my favourite bits, as I actually enjoy watching all of the nutty people, they're my favourite! It's what Britain is all about!

Anyway, here is a list of some of the weird, the wonderful and the complete rubbish:
  • Harmonica woman - She was the first act of the show, and of course she was completely mental (in the nicest possible way). She was convinced that Amanda was Joanna Lumley, so Michael joked that he was Simon Cowell, which was really funny. I wasn't sure whether she put it on or not. I found a link on YouTube actually, go watch here, it's hilarious!
  • The Woman and her 2 dogs - Wow, they were amazing!! So cute! The dogs were pretty much in sync with each other the whole way through, which was really surprising as I can imagine it's hard to get them to do that! Anyway, I love them.
  • David Knight, the 9 year old comedian - He was... adorable! He was so natural on stage, just charming the audience. Bless him. He was asked who makes him laugh on TV, he replied 'Harry Hill...' and there was Michael pointing at himself and shouting 'hey, I'm judging you' and when he didn't hear his name he pressed his buzzer! That bit just made me laugh!!
  • Blair, the dolphin man - Rubbish, but made me giggle.
  • Hula hoop woman - Watching her facial expressions was funny any enough for me, although... that wasn't meant to be the act.
  • Steven Hall - Probably one of my favourites! Yes, he was rubbish... but in a good way. He was rubbish in a way that made me laugh! This is one is self explanatory so just click here for a YouTube link. I highly doubt that he will make it very far, but I thank him for making me laugh, he was hilarious!
  • Michael Collings - He is a perfect example about why we shouldn't judge people before we actual know them, or what they do. I don't think many people had high hopes for him, including the judges, who were making jokes about his clothes. But he really was talented! Again, click here for a link to YouTube if you want to see.
  • Antonio Popeye - He isn't called Popeye for nothing! His 'talent' of popping his eyes out a bit had me completely speechless at first and then after seeing it a few times, made me feel a bit sick. Unique talent though!

I've Got Some Headphoneesss!!

This afternoon, after I had demolished the scrambled egg on toast, that I had made myself for lunch, I sat at my computer watching the other part of Mrs Brown's Boys that I hadn't finished watching yesterday. (Which, by the way, was hilarious. Again, I totally recommend that you go and watch it.)

While watching the next episode of Mrs Brown's Boys I very vaguely heard the door bell, as I had a pair of headphones on as my sister was watching Home and Away in my room. I heard Zoe get up so asked if it was the door. She said it was only the headphones. I have been waiting for the headphones that I asked my mum to order so I got up to see if they came.

There was a big white jiffy bag, addressed to my mum, which Zoe and I assumed were my head phones. And because Zoe is... Zoe, she went and hid the package in my room while I was in the kitchen. However, she failed at doing that, as I walking in on her hiding it in the corner... so I knew where to look.

Me being me I completely failed at opening the jiffy bag so it was looking very worse for wear afterwards. I honestly did try to open it from the top, I just don't know what happened from that point on...

I opened the headphones and all that jazz with the CDs and installing, all of that blaaah stuff - technical word! It really wasn't difficult though so all was good for my simple mind! :) I logged into skype to check the microphone - as the other day my very old and crappy headset was RUBBISH when I was trying to talk. One minute there was sounds, the next... there wasn't.

I was pleased to find out that the microphone sounded perfect! So I then opened a program called Audacity, so I could just have a play with the sounds. Zoe and I were just messing around with it really so the stuff we saved it just a little bit random.

I was enjoying myself playing with the speed feature of the program, making Zoe sounds like a chipmonk. I did plan to put them on my blog, just for fun. But... I don't know how and IF I actually can. I might ask my brother tomorrow, maybe they can be on here tomorrow!

Anyway, I'm really pleased with my new headset... it is fantastic! If anyone needs a headset and wants something that is fairly cheap but good quality then here is a link - Microsoft LifeChat LZ-3000

Mrs Brown's Boys

I hadn't even heard of it, until my brother mentioned it while I was in his room having a general chit chat earlier. Apparently, it had been on BBC1 every Monday night for 6 weeks... and I had no idea!

James found it on the internet and put it on for me and Joely (his girlfriend) to watch while he... attended to other business. And I LOVE it!! It's really funny, there is at least a laugh a minute. It is a complete laugh from the first few seconds of the series.

Plus Mrs Brown really reminds me of my mum, not because it is a man in a dress... I was actually referring to the similarity in their sense of humours.
It's mainly because my mum has a bit of a reputation within our house hold for turning anything into some kind of innuendo, which is amusing (most of the time), and Mrs Brown is always turning things into something sexual, which is hilarious!

My favourite bit of what I saw today has got to be when the doctor came to check on the granddad, was trying to take his temperature but granddad wouldn't keep the thermometer in his mouth so he needed a rectal examination. Mrs Brown and the Doctor went to get a drink from the kitchen and the daughter came down to find the granddad in the middle of the living room with his bum out, so she pulled up his trousers and told him to sit down. Granddad was shaking his head and saying no but she sat him down anyway, and obviously he screamed.

I was in stitches at that point, as was Joely. I just thought that was so funny, and who ever wrote that is an absolute genius!

If you didn't see it, then I advise that you go and watch it or something because it is just so funny! I've only watched part of the first episode but I fully intend to watch the rest of them. I can't wait to watch more of it because it is just so funny! Anyone with a similar sense of humour will love it!

Another Traumatic Experience

Today's traumatic experience is to do with my little sister, Zoe. about 20 or 30 minutes ago she had just deflated her blow up bed in my room (she likes to sleep in my room, we're cool like that) and she realised she needed a shower.

She went to open the door, but it didn't open. She pulled the door handle again, but it didn't open. She looked at me and repeated a few times 'it won't open, it's stuck' and she literally looked like she was going to crap her pants. I told her to relax and again she repeated that it was stuck, with the same wide-eyed expression on her face.

I got up out of my chair, still telling her to relax and I gave the door a tug, and it opened. Zoe left the room immediately and closed the door. I checked it again, and it was fine. She told me that I needed a new door handle. Of course I knew that and we do have one, but it hasn't be replaced yet.

The reason why so panicked so much about my door was because a couple of years ago she was in the living room watching television (most likely neighbours), and she went to go out, but the door was jammed. She kept pushing and pulling at the door but it didn't help at all. At this point my nan and I were wondering what was going on so we went to open the door, but it wouldn't budge. At some point Zoe must have told us she was stuck in there (probably a few times) and then started to cry. She doesn't like enclosed spaces, let alone being stuck in one room.

James tried to open the door, but again it wouldn't move so we rang our step dad so he could come home and get her out. I think he got home very shortly after the phone call. While we waited for Graham to come and rescue her, I think my Nan and I stood at the living room window that goes out into the garden so we could speak to her. Graham did end up taking the door handle off as the spring had broken (which is what is happening to mine).

We thought it was quite ironic that Zoe wanted to get out of the living room because she loves TV, she's out little tele addict. She's basically our walking TV guide, although she only tells us about the programmes that she is interested in, so I guess she is a fairly limited TV guide.

I told Zoe that I was going to write this and she told me that she ought to have her own label. I told her that it would be greedy, and she comes under family anyway! Ok, well my mum has her own label, but she's special! Zoe isn't the only one who has asked for their own label... you know who you are...

Note: I have decided to give Zoe her own tag, as she does feature a lot on my blogs, as she's often in with some of the funny stuff I have written about. She'll be happy now!

Sometimes I Can Be So... Silly

I was out shopping today with my grandparents and my sister and we had to do an exchange with something my mum had bought the other day. While at the till, I was messing around with all the stuff on and around it... as you do. Among other things there were rings. So what did I do? Can you guess?

Yes, of course I put the ring on. And what did I do next?

CORRECT, I got it stuck... and it hurt! I never really think about these things before I jump in and do it really... oops! Wrong move! I was tugging and tugging at this big black ring, but it was firmly stuck on my finger. At this point I was getting just giggling, and panicking at the same time, making my face go increasingly more red... and I could feel it.

After a minute or so tugging on the ring my nan told me to relax and then it would come of easier. I left it for about 10 seconds or so and then started to twist and pull. I could feel it starting to budge so I tugged on it again. Finally, it was off... I was free! I think I am going to be more careful when trying on rings now. As much as it was funny... my finger did hurt, and plus, it was fairly embarrassing (even though barely anyone saw).

Writing this also reminded me of another jewellery related incident in involving my sister, Zoe. We were out shopping with our mum and in 2 different shops I put a necklace on Zoe, just for fun. In the second shop (either H&M or River Island, but what does that matter) the necklace got stuck. Obviously, Zoe had a bit of a panic... but it did come off.

I don't think me and jewellery have a very good relationship. It just likes to get stuck on me... or other people that I put the jewellery on. Perhaps this is a sign that I should never ever work in a jewellers. I would be a nightmare. I'd have people going in and out of A&E every day getting rings cut off their fingers or something. Either that, or the local shops would love me as I'd be buying kilos and kilos of butter to help get all the rings off of people. Although, eventually the word would get around and nobody would come to my shop and I'd only get the one off customers, mostly from naive tourist who have no idea of their fate once they enter my shop

Lucid Dreaming

For those of you who have no idea what this is (like me, until I found out yesterday), it is basically you being able to recognise that you are in a dream and then maybe being able to control it.

I had heard about lucid dreaming last week, as my TOK teacher mentioned it but I had no idea what it actually was, so I thought no more of it. Coincidently, yesterday I logged onto Youtube to find that one of the people are subscribe to had made a video called 'How To Control Your Dreams', so I was intrigued and I watched it.

The video was basically all about how he had seen a video on lucid dreaming and decided to try it, and it worked. Naturally, I clicked the link for the video he had seen and watched it. It tells you to count your fingers throughout the day or try and put your finger through the palm of your hand. This is because if you do this enough then it will become natural and you will be more likely to do this in your dream. In your dream, it is apparently impossible to count your fingers and if you try to put your finger through your palm then it will go straight through.

The video also talks about getting up 90 minutes earlier than your usual waking up time as this will increase alertness or something, I can't remember. Anyway, I ignored that one because I thought 'screw getting up earlier' as I am not one for waking up at my normal time anyway. Plus, it's half term so I don't have a waking up time!

After I saw the video I thought I would give it a go so I counted my fingers from time to time and occasionally tried to put my finger through my palm, like a complete crazy person. And before I went to bed I told myself that 'I would remember my dream'. And just as I thought I was on the verge of falling asleep, I counted my fingers a few times more.

I didn't expect it to work at all but... in my dream I was with someone (but have no idea who) walking along a road, and I put my hand up and tried to put my finger through my palm. It went through!!! I must have realise because I opened my eyes and I was very briefly awake again, but I promptly shut them, as I wanted to see what would happen.

All I remember was trying to make myself fly within my dream but it wasn't working as myself and the unknown person I was with went into a kitchen (I think) and then from that point on, I am a little hazy about what exactly happened.

I'm quite excited that I have reached the first stage of being able to recognize I am in a dream and I will of course, try it again.

I was on my way to the dentist this afternoon with my brother and sister, counting my fingers along the way. James asked my what I was counting, I smiled and replied 'my fingers' as I didn't want to sound like a complete weirdo. Although that probably had the opposite effect. I just couldn't be bothered to explain to him at that point. Well now he knows... when he reads this anyway.

Sims 3: Generations - and all that jazz

You've probably guessed by now that I am a Sims 3 fan. Well actually not just Sims 3, as I like the other ones too... but I just have Sims 3.

It was made official the other day that they would be releasing Sims 3: Generations on the 31st of May and it looks fairly simple, yet I think it will be really good. It basically adds new things for each age group to be able to do.

From the trailer I can see there will be stuff like:
  • Tree houses, sandpits and dressing up stuff for the kids.
  • Pranks (which looks quite funny), house parties and graduation for the teenagers.
  • Proper weddings, hen nights and stag doos for the adults.
  • Prams and perhaps some new toys for the toddlers.
  • Outdoor water stuff for everyone.
  • And just some generally cute stuff like giving flowers for the elders.
If you're interested in seeing it for your self here is the link for the trailer: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4hajq1nwsAM

Like I said before, it does sound very simple but I think it should just add some more dimension to the game so there are more interesting things that you can do with it.

It has also been leaked that they are going to do a Sims 3: Unleashed, meaning that there would be pets! This is something that so many people have been requestion ever since Sims 3 came out, as they missed it from Sims 2. I'm with them on that one because I did like having pets, although they were a tad boring sometimes. But I have no doubts that they will be better in Sims 3 as they would be able to go for walks and also, by the looks of an unofficial trailer I have seen on youtube, they will have traits just like Sims, which should be good.

I also noticed that there were different animals, other than the usual cats and dogs, such as deer, snakes, raccoons, skunks and horses (which your sims can actually ride) which should be interesting as they have never had them before. I heard that Unleashed is meant to be released in October some time so that should be good, but we shall see. I hope they are good anyway!

A Lovely Day

Today has been a really lovely day, a great day to start of the holidays! The only bad part of my day was being woken up at 9:30am by banging noises from next door,  must be doing some building work or something.

However, that did mean that I could play Sims 3 before I went out at all, which was good because I succeeded in being able to have a ghost sim baby. I names him Colin... because my mum suggested it and I thought it was funny. And it reminded me of Colin the banana. Here he is. Taadaa...

Once my mum and sister got up we decided to go on a bike ride, so we had lunch and got ready to go out. While mum was eating lunch me and Zoe went into the bike shed, where we had to socialize with the spiders (as Zoe says) to get all the bikes out.

We stopped off for a nice ice cream and sat behind a wall to avoid the wind and then we set off back home (stopping for a bag of candy floss and a sugar dummy to take home), just to satisfy our inner children. The ride on the way there was more difficult than the way back as we had the wind blowing in our faces so it was quite cold and stopping us riding as easily.Mum reckons we must have done about 10 or so miles so it wasn't very long at all, we usually do 18 or 20 or something like that.

After socializing with spiders again we went inside and Zoe ate her sugar dummy, while I shared my candy floss with mum. It was so nice! I know it's only sugar and flavours and colours but it tastes so nice! After that I had about an hour before I had to go and get on a bus to go out with my friend for a belated birthday meal for Tim's birthday.

On the way there I saw Annie on the bus, so it was nice to have a bit of company, otherwise I would have been bored out of my brain! Annie was invited to the meal but couldn't come so she gave me the remainder of her packet of chocolate raisins to give to Tim, which I did and he gave them to Imy to keep hold of and then they were forgotten about... so Imy got them.

I got in to town 30 minutes before we were going to meet as the bus was fairly early so I sat at the bus station and waited for Tim to get off his bus, then we went to meet Imy, Julian and Ben in town. The meal was really nice, especially my ice cream hazalnut bombe for dessert. Yum!! It was also funny because Imogen fancied the waiter and kept trying to make conversation and twiddling her hair...we kept reminding her she has Gary...

Me and Zoe were playing with bubbles earlier and I nearly put the bubble stick in my mouth for some reason... I think I'm tired! It was really funny and at least I didn't actually put it in my mouth! That would be gross... bubbles don't taste good!

Do you want some Chocolate, Zoe?

In biology yesterday I had a piece of string chucked on to my head by my teacher as he only needed the first 2 bits of string to demonstrate DNA. While listening to what he was talking about I sat there pulling all the small strands of string from the big one and after this tied it back together and wrapped it round my wrist.

I had forgotten about it being there until I got home and pulled up my sleeve to find it there, wrapped round my wrist. I had put some chocolate in bowls for my brother, sister and I but at that moment, Zoe wasn't in yet. I don't know why I decided to do it, but I wrapped the piece of string around Zoe's bowl and was pulling it around the table.

I immediately thought it would be funny to have the string attached when Zoe gets in so I could pull it away from her, and James had the idea of putting the TV magazine over the string so Zoe couldn't see it.

I sat there for about 10 minutes with the other end of the string around my hand. When Zoe got in James told her there was chocolate on the table for her and casually got out his phone... then this happened...

I found the joke pretty funny, so did James judging by his laugh! Zoe, on the other hand wasn't all that amused, but at the same time she wasn't annoyed either. She just thought we were 'gay' in her words...

Bubbles Bubbles... My Bubbles!!

I had a Free this morning with Lauren, Maddy and Tim and when in the common room Lauren pulled out a little yellow pot of bubble and started blowing them about! The rest of us obviously started jumping for the bubbles to pop them as if we were 6 year old children again. We are at heart!

It was a very nice day today so we went outside so we could blow more bubbles and I came up with the smart idea of trying to eat them... not so smart it seems! I obviously got all the bubbly liquid taste in my mouth and it wasn't the nicest thing I had ever tasted! And also for the rest of the day every time I lick my lips... I taste bubbles! And that's not good! I love bubble... just not the taste of them.

After deciding that we were a little bit weird jumping around outside, being watched by the Philosophy class, we decided to go into the common room to play a little game of cards! We kept beating Lauren which was funny (not for Lauren, but for us it was amusing seeing Lauren annoyed that she wasn't winning a single thing).

Lauren and I had agreed to take some candidates for the new PE teacher on a tour so we stopped playing cards 5 minutes before we had to leave to take them on their tour and blew bubbles instead. I decided it was fun to blow them in Maddy's face when she was eating her nutrigrain bar. Lauren was watching me do this and apparently the bottle was at a bit of an angle and I was nearly tipping it over Maddy so Lauren grabbed it to stop me spilling it... which made me drop it so it fell all over the floor and her tights.

Lauren's tights were all foamy, which was rather funny! But then our IB coordinator came in to get us for the tour and so we got Maddy to clear the rest up...

Basically, bubbles are fun... for everyone, even if you are 17...

Those Little Internet Addictions!

I am currently watching this week's episode of The Gadget Show on youtube as I missed it on Monday as I was out swimming. This week Suzi and Jason were challenged to make their own computer game. They showed some office people playing some internet games and I went and checked a few out... and they are very addictive!

My favourite is Ragdoll Cannon 3- http://www.kongregate.com/games/Johnny_K/ragdoll-cannon-3?acomplete=ragdoll just because the graphics are quite cute and sketchy and the game is generally just a little bit addictive, like all good internet games. I advise you not to click the link if you are doing anything important as you may get sucked right into the game!

After I finish writing this I am going to go on the Gadget Show Website to check out the games that Suzi and Jason made as I am curious as to how good they are.

This made me think about a blog I read a few weeks ago, which was written by Jessica Fox (http://blameitonthegroupon.blogspot.com/), who plays Nancy in Hollyoaks. Her blogs are mainly about her fitness regime she has started and all the funny stuff that happens at her Zumba classes and whatever but there was one part of a recent blog she wrote where she mentioned Burger Shop 2. She's right... it is so addictive! I sat there playing it for ages and every downloaded the hour free trial just so I could see what the real game is like (I'm not going to pay to buy something) and it has now been put in my 'stuff' folder on my bookmark bar on my firefox so I can play it if I am really bored!

I know Sims isn't on the internet but it is still addictive because there is so much stuff you can do on it so I am constantly finding different ways to do stuff (e.g. I never knew you could electrocute Sims until last week). I'm usually not one for killing Sims because I get strangely attached to them and all the things I have made them achieve so I usually set it on the longest lifespan and just trigger age transition as and when I want and try to keep them alive for as long as possible and just keep moving out Sims when I want to extend my family. The Sim town does end up being littered with my Sim family though. However, I have set my life span back to the normal 90 days and it is quite good just naturally letting them age and also it stops me getting bored of having the same Sims around all the time. I think I prefer and shall do it like that from now on!

On the subject of Sims, there was a facebook group about a 'Super Secret Surprise' in the Sims 3 that was dated to be yesterday and I checked it yesterday to see what it was and it's Sims 3 Generations which sounds really good! For those of you non-simmers or those of you haven't seen it yet, who have no idea what I am talking about - it looks awesome, check the trailer out on youtube!

The Simple Things

Sometimes the simplest things can be amazing, like a massive cardboard recycling box that turns up at school for old clothes... what could be more fun!

This morning in my free Rachel and I helped Dan to build a big card board box that he got donated to him so his D of E group could collect people's old clothes so they can get money from them so they can give the money to a school in Africa that they are going to visit.

Dan told me that the box was big... but I didn't realise HOW big until we went out to get it in flat pack version and the box was more or less the width of my armspan and it was as tall as my chest (ish). We started building it in the commin room and I was immediately dying to get in it! I mean, who wouldn't want to get inside a big box...

Graeme had the same idea as me and actually did get in it. One we pushed it through the door (with a bit of force) we put it with all their other recycling stuff (minus Graeme) and after being told it was a 'fire hazard' we moved it to the IB centre later during the day! When we walked in Lauren immediately was asking to get in it... so we removed the bottom so she could get in and then put her in it...

A little while after this we were told that is was still a fire hazard so we started to dimantle it... I of course go inside it at this point...
But then we were told to leave it there for the time being so we then put it back up again. I thought it might be funny to get inside it one morning and jump out every time someone walked past! Perhaps we should do that!

Electrocuting Sims

I have to say, I am not usually one for killing my sims but I had heard that you could electrocute them by fixing something electrical while standing in water. I was intrigued...

And it just so happened that I had a particularly irritating sim and there was no room in my family to do anything else, therefore... someone had to go! So why not do it in a bit of style!
It also just so happened that my trash compactor broke... oh... no! So I sent the fee will to 'no free will' and got one of my sims who needed the toilet to stand in front of the trash compactor and wee themselves basically (I couldn't think of another way, I'm not just some kind of weirdo!)

After this I got the irritating sim to fix the trash compactor and oh dear... look what happened...

I think the ghost you get after electrocution is cool though, so really she looks better as a ghost!

I just thought I would mention that today I have not had much luck when it comes to hot chocolate either! I got home from swimming and started making hot chocolate. Firstly, I dropped the powder so a little went over the side. Secondly, I spilt it when stirring. Thirdly, when I was taking a hot chocolate with my sister I spilt some on my foot... luckily I had shoes one! Perhaps it is karma for killing my sim...

Happy Mother's Day

Just a quick blog today just to say Happy Mother's Day to all the Mums! Especially mine of course, because she is amazing! (According to Amy she 'sounds like a ledge' - my mum was VERY pleased with that comment).

LOVE YOU MUM!! You're so special, and that's exactly why we love you. I wouldn't want a normal mum... it would be too... normal?!?! I don't like the thought of that!! Wuv oooo!!

My mum wanted to go on a bike ride with my step dad, Graham, this morning and so my brother woke me up at 9 (an hour earlier than I had planned) so that she could have her presents before. She was VERY pleased to find a nice bottle of Tia Maria in a bottle bag (her favourite) which she picked up and kissed. She was also very pleased to receive lots of 'special' chocolate (dairy free) and I am sure she will enjoy munching that at some point.

After this, they went out on their bike ride and me, my sister and brother went to our Dad's house (I know it's mother's day but my brother works Saturdays, we hadn't seen him in a few weeks and it was his birthday yesterday so I had to give him his cake - of course). We later found out that their bike ride was 36 miles!!!!!!!!!!!! MENTAL! They got back at about half 2 and they had left at 10am! Silly people, fancy going on a 36 mile bike ride! I thought the 18 mile ones that mum takes us on are bad!!

April Fools

So yesterday was the 1st of April, April Fools Day and I woke up (late, as usual) and was getting ready for school with Daybreak on TV and on came a news story about apes in Kent that had been given iPads as some sort of test.

When I went out to have my breakfast I told my mum about the news story and said how weird it was. It was only later at school when we were talking about it that I realised that it was an April Fools joke! I felt like a bit of an idiot for believing it, but to be fair, when you see a news story on TV you don't usually expect them to lie to you about things. They are supposed to be a 'reliable' source. But it did amuse me that I actually did believe them - I suppose I'll blame it on being blonde.

I told my friend Amy earlier today about believing the story and she believed me when I told her, even though I had said about it being an April Fools - silly Amy! Yes that's right - you're more of a fool than I am! Not that anyone thought that was possible.

I didn't manage to think anything up to do on April Fools day, but to be honest I probably would have laughed or smiled or something to make people know that it is an April Fool because I can't keep a straight face. It a weakness that I have - I just can't do it!

I was asked to pretend to be madly in love with this boy at school for April Fools but... no. I really couldn't be bothered and plus he'd guess anyway! I was to tired... it was Friday after all!

I have only ever really done one April Fools and it did actually work. I think I was in year 5 or 6 and I had made a fake cast that I had seen being done on art attack or something like that and I wrote all the messages on and got other people to as well so it wasn't all in my scrawly hand writing and I wore it to school to trick my teacher. And she did genuinely believe it - until I took it off to show her it was a fake. I'm pretty proud of that tbh :)

I just searched about April Fools in Google and it came up with Google Motion. I probably would have believed it if I had seen it yesterday but it is so funny! The man doing all the gestures is just so funny. Go check it out.

P.S. I am going to try and complete BEDA (blog everyday in April) so hopefully I will succeed . It will be the inspiration that could be difficult though!! But I will do my best!

'Please Sir, can I have some more?'

I just go back from seeing the Oliver production as school - well I was serving food  we made as it was gala night but still, I got to see it... without paying a penny, which is always good. Even though I did actually want to go until it SOLD OUT! I helped to make the food so asked if they needed help serving and yes they did so I got to see it in the end. Making the food was really fun too!

I have a few friends who were in it so I was really excited to see them perform. I was watching a little bit of the rehearsals during a free on Monday I was so surprised that some of my friends could ACTUALLY sing.. I mean well... really well! I literally had no idea!  I think it is bad that I had no idea that my friends had such talent.

Rumour: Wow, never knew she could sing! I was so impressed!

Arthur: I already told him he was a dark horse as I'd never even considered the thought of him singing and he was brilliant.

Maddy, aka Madderzzz: Well, she has told me before that she could sing yet whenever I heard her before I never believed her as she was always doing silly singing (deliberately sounding bad) but I was very impressed with her singing. And I told her that after. To which she replied 'I know, how dare you doubt me, I'm awesome' (or something to that effect) I was blown away by the modesty.

Annie: She didn't sing on her own, but she makes a damn good whore :P

Louise: She wasn't in it but she was a stage help and I'd just like to say - I started the clap for her getting the lamp onto the bridge! Yay for me!

Ollie: Don't know who he is but he made a good woman in the play and he was just generally funny. I bet his voice hurts though.

The kid who played Oliver: He was just the perfect Oliver, he really did look so innocent and sweet.

To everyone else, as I can't name everyone: They were all AWESOME and I really enjoyed the show. Well done!

The Orchestra (especially Charlotte and Natalie): so good, didn't hear a single bad note.

There was a point in the show where there was a toy do thrown on stage and it was just soooo funny because it literally got thrown from the side lines! And when they took it off Arthur made it wave to the audience, which was really cute. Nice one Arthur!

I just wanted to say, thanks to those who did the play or were involved because I really enjoyed the night, and I know everyone else did too!!
